Feelings of stress or anxiety affect at least one in twenty people, and can be experienced in different ways.  Common symptoms include:

Fortunately, there are many scientifically proven ways of reducing the effects of stress and anxiety naturally.  Sessions equip you with the skills and confidence to manage and reduce your symptoms.  Firstly, sessions work with empowering you with techniques that you can use anytime to calm down, relax the nervous system, and help you feel more in control.   Secondly, they can help get to the core of the cause, and support you in making changes in your life that may also aid in naturally reducing symptoms.

With a background in holistic health, yoga and meditation,  coaching, and my own experience with anxiety, I offer you support and mentoring through a range of skills and techniques.  

I incorporate a mixture of mindfulness, breathwork, body psychology, yoga nidra, aromatherapy, and calming techniques.  A safe and healing space for you to learn and integrate natural methods that support your well-being.

 Body Psychology for Emotional Well-being

Supporting you to resolve and heal emotional issues, and find your centre of peace and equilibrium

These sessions work with Yoga Nidra Therapy and body psychology techniques, as a therapeutic tool for emotional healing.  (Please note that Yoga Nidra is a therapy and not movement).  Gently taking awareness inwards, we  work together to encourage things that need addressing to rise to the surface The technique is simple, yet profound and gets to the heart of what is  needed, or what is holding you back, very quickly.   Healing results from this gentle and meditative therapy. 

Shock, trauma,accidents, grief, pain, stress and  anxiety impact the health of the nervous system and can lock us into a state of constant hyper-arousal that drains us of energy and enthusiasm.  Because these techniques work on restoring the health of the nervous system and calming down the anxiety response, an increased sense of calmness and well-being takes place.  Yoga Nidra is recognised as an effective tool for PTSD, stress and anxiety, pain management, grief and loss, and sleep disturbance.  

 In addition, we touch the base of inner peace and calmness that is our essential nature.  From here we become adept at responding to life, rather than reacting.  Sessions invoke clarity and encourage change.  A sense of deep peace is usually experienced at the end of a session.

Aromatherapy and Healing

The therapy to soothe and and heal

Hands on channeled healing energy, combined with the benefits of aromatherapy oils, promote a deep relaxation of both body and mind.  Supportive when you’re feeling low and depleted,  for grief and loss, or struggling with health issues.  Gentle and restorative for conditions including arthritisfibromyalgia, sleep issues, grief, stress and CFS.  Soothing and nourishing for menstrual and menopause health and pregnancy.  Or simply to be kind to yourself and have an hour of blissful relaxation and you time!

Essential oils contain therapeutic qualities and therefore, when expertly blended, can be a holistic aid for healing and recovery.  

A soothing and healing treatment for when you’re feeling tender, either physically or emotionally.  

I make my own aromatherapy products which are used during sessions, and are also for sale.

Scar Healing with ScarWork, West Sussex

ScarWork supports healing and functionality of scars and the surrounding areas

scar workOur scars tell a story of our lives and are therefore part of us.  However, scars can leave us feeling uncomfortable, both from the appearance and the ongoing physical or emotional effects they can have.  ScarWork addresses these issues, often resulting in profound, restorative healing.

Healing and integration of scars through the techniques of ScarWork can help with any post-op or injury scars including joint replacement, mastectomy and breast surgery, open heart surgery, C- birth, burns, injuries, self-harm scarring, drain sites and skin grafts. 

Improved mobility and appearance

Because the techniques work to soften and release adhesions and restrictions, this often results in improved mobility and appearance.  Therefore scars appear smoother, flatter and less prominent, with profound functional changes.  Scars respond irrelevant of their age, and the healing continues for a few weeks after a session.  Moreover, a feeling of overall integration of body and mind can result from ScarWork sessions.

In addition, Scar Therapy can often be a catalyst to release emotional scarring which can happen as a result of the trauma of the original event. This can result in a feeling of integration and increased well-being.
